ABOUT THE ROLE
Purpose
This position is responsible for overseeing and directing the financial planning and analysis functions within the organization. This role involves developing strategic financial plans, conducting in-depth financial analyses, and providing critical insights to support executive decision-making. The Director will work closely with senior leadership and the finance team to ensure accurate financial forecasting and budgeting.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic financial plans and budgets to support the organization's long-term goals.
- Conduct in-depth financial analyses to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports and forecasts to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial data.
- Provide guidance and training to team members on financial planning and analysis processes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
Skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office applications.
Certifications
Education
Master’s degree in related discipline or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and an additional 3 years of experience in lieu of Master’s degree
Experience
11+ years of experience, of which at least 7 leading a team
