ABOUT THE ROLE
The Facilities Technician performs a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the proper functioning and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and related systems. This is an entry-level position that works under the guidance of more experienced technicians and supervisors, providing opportunities to develop skills in various building trades.

Start Date: June 29, 2026
End Date: August 28, 2026
Responsibilities
Assist with the maintenance and repair of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, under supervision.
Maintain grounds, including landscaping, snow removal, and trash removal.
Perform basic repairs to building structures, such as walls, floors, ceilings, doors, and windows.
Operate and maintain basic hand and power tools and equipment safely and effectively.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
Follow safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Respond to maintenance requests and address issues promptly and efficiently.
Assist with setting up and tearing down for events or meetings.
Skills
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Basic troubleshooting skills.
Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Physical stamina and ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
Basic computer skills may be required.

High school diploma or GED
