ABOUT THE ROLE
Purpose
This position is responsible for managing the financial control functions within the organization. This role involves ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, implementing and maintaining internal controls, and supporting financial reporting processes. The Manager will work closely with senior management and the finance team to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records and reports.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and training to finance team members on financial control processes.
Skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office applications.
Certifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in related discipline.
Experience
7+ years of experience, of which at least 2 leading a team
