ABOUT THE ROLE
Compensation
$40,000 - $75,000
Purpose
This position is responsible for supporting the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) department in implementing and maintaining safety and environmental programs. This role involves assisting with audits, gathering data, monitoring compliance with regulatory standards, and helping with the development of safety protocols. The Associate Analyst works to ensure a safe working environment for employees and supports the organization’s efforts to minimize its environmental impact.
Responsibilities
- Support the team in conducting regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Gather and analyze data related to workplace safety incidents, environmental impact, and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in preparing safety reports, tracking safety performance, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Help develop and maintain safety procedures, policies, and documentation for various departments.
- Participate in the training and education of employees on safety practices, hazard recognition, and environmental sustainability.
- Assist with risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and supporting the development of mitigation strategies.
- Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and ensure that safety recommendations are implemented.
- Collaborate with other departments to support the integration of safety and environmental initiatives into daily operations.
- Stay informed on relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations, and assist in ensuring the organization’s compliance.
Skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data analysis, reporting, and presentations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to gather and analyze safety and environmental data.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with team members and employees.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other departments.
- Analytical skills to support risk assessments and safety audits.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of environmental health and safety.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and professionally.
Certifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in related discipline or an additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
