ABOUT THE ROLE
Purpose
The Receiver I is responsible for the accurate and timely receipt of incoming shipments to the warehouse. This role ensures the quality and quantity of all incoming goods are verified and properly documented.
Fix-term 6 month Contract role
Responsibilities
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks and trailers.
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage, quantity, and quality.
- Verify order accuracy against purchase orders and other relevant documentation.
- Record all receiving information accurately in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Product Handling:
- Sort and organize received products according to established procedures.
- Place received products in designated storage locations.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
Skills
- Physical Strength: Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects.
- Basic Math Skills: Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (e.g., addition, subtraction).
