ABOUT THE ROLE

POSITION SUMMARY
Describe the purpose and objectives of the job.
This position supports all warehouse clerical activities on the outbound shift including 
providing support to the Outbound Warehouse Manager and Supervisors. Additional 
responsibilities include data validation, report creation, some data entry and creating 
invoices.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
List job function, day to day, core responsibilities.
• Organizes and manage workflow of Sysco Warehouse Management System 
(SWMS), Sysco Order Selection system (SOS), Sysco Loading System (SLS), 
locating missing inventory, Syntelic, Sysco Transportation System (STS), 
Engineered Standards
• Provides clerical support to the Operations team in an accurate and timely manner. 
• Data entry and report generation for the warehouse and transportation teams 
• Prepare general communications for distribution within the Operation (dispatching 
times etc.) 
• Assist in safety reporting, data entry, KPI tracking, product weight collection, and 
pallet audits and product investigations. 
• Administer organizational practices when coordinating work to order selectors, 
forklift operators and loaders 
• Prepare paperwork packages for all delivery associates
• Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the 
importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately 
to their Supervisor.
• Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their 
colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Provides work timely to all warehouse functions avoiding work delays to both 
warehouse and transportation teams avoiding overtime.
• No responsibility for financial decisions, budgets and planning.

Process Management: scope of responsibility and planning, organizing and/or project 
management necessary for the position.

• Can coordinate and handle multiple task at the same time.
Leadership: responsibilities to manage, supervise, guide, lead or mentor other associates,
the number of direct reports and their level is relevant (are the direct reports managers).
• While not directly responsible for individual team members, this associate supplies 
all workflow to the operations departments and must be able to work collaboratively 
with all associates.
Customer Service: level of responsibility for customer service looking at the nature of 
service/interaction provided to the “customer” (e.g. internal, external, vendor…), the 
diversity and complexity communication.
• This role has many internal customers from all operational areas, these 
relationships can be diverse and complex. 
• Plays a vital part of ensuring all dispatch times are met. 
Autonomy: level of autonomy when it comes to performing work duties and achieving work 
objectives, the degree, nature and impact of decision-making.
• This role is both autonomous and collaborative. 
• Balancing systems work with dispatch times. 
Contacts: describe who would be considered internal and/or external contacts/customers.
• Works collaboratively with all operations team members

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions: describe the intensity, frequency and duration 
of the physical effort required. Exposure to undesirable working conditions including noise, 
temperature, lighting, equipment or amount of travel (in percentage).
• This role, while mostly in an office environment, also includes the need for some 
time on the warehouse floor either in an analytical/investigation or 
consultative/associate need.
• Limited physical effort required. No travel is required.
Sensory & Mental Efforts: describe the extent of multiple sensory demands such as 
frequency of repetitive tasks, level of auditory/visual concentration, frequency of 
interruptions, and the degree that pace is controlled by others.
• This role requires a level of concentration and detail while being able to switch 
gears quickly as business needs dictate. 
• Repetitive tasks include operation of a laptop/computer or desk phone. 
Interruptions happen frequently but can be controlled. 
• The incumbent has the opportunity/flexibility change posture and position for 
comfort. Pace of work can be fast.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: minimum level as well as preferred level of experience. Consider the level
exposure to relevant work gained through practical and on-the-job training.
• Minimum 1-year experience in distribution environment
• Exposure to ERP or Warehouse Management Systems is required.
Education: minimum level as well as preferred level of education, certification or 
designation. Consider the knowledge of business, industry, management principles and 
technical disciplines gained through formal training.
• High School Diploma
Knowledge & Skill: list any other qualifications, including technical requirements of the role.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (intermediate is preferred)
• Willing and able to work non-standard hours
