ABOUT THE ROLE
- Order selectors are responsible for selecting, storing, packing and monitoring inventory of products
- Computer knowledge to manage labels printing
- Accurately hand-select products from various warehouse zones - Dry, Cooler, and Freezer
- Stack products safely on pallets (heavier items at the bottom, labels facing out) to ensure products reach customers without damage.
- Safely operate electric pallet jacks (single, double, or triple) to navigate the warehouse and transport completed pallets to the shipping dock.
- Affix correct selection labels to each case and verify product codes and quantities against customer orders.
- Perform pre- and post-trip equipment inspections.
- Adhere to all Food Safety (HACCP/GMP) standards and maintain a clean work area.
- Physically demanding role requiring full-shift mobility (standing/walking) and the ability to lift, stack, and move heavy product cases consistently.
- Perform tasks related to shipping and transportation of orders
- Perform all other tasks as required
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- 0–1 year of warehouse experience; previous experience with electric pallet jacks or in the food service industry is an asset.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English for safety and order accuracy.
- Must pass pre-employment background checks and a Physical Abilities Test (PAT).
- Teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
