ABOUT THE ROLE
Purpose
The Shuttle / Van Driver III is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a Van to deliver produce. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, a focus on efficiency, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Operate a Van safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws, company policies, and established routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring the vehicle is in proper working order.
- Product Transport:
- Transport goods safely and efficiently between Sysco facilities and customers.
- Ensure the safe and timely transfer of product between locations.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Comply with all applicable safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date driver logs and other required documentation.
- Customer Service:
Skills
- Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety regulations.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members.
Certifications
- Class 5 License
Education
High school diploma or GED
Experience
3+ years of experience
Physical Demands
- Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of heavy objects (up to 100 pounds) occasionally.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, squat, and reach frequently.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
Travel Requirements
0-25%
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 08:00 a.m. - 04:30 p.m.
