ABOUT THE ROLE

The Director of Local Sales (18 month contract) provides strategic leadership and oversight to a team of District Sales Managers and/or Sales Consultants, driving significant sales growth, profitability, and market share within a larger geographic area or key market segment. This role focuses on developing talent, implementing strategic initiatives, and fostering strong customer relationships.

Purpose

The Director of Local Sales (18 month contract) provides strategic leadership and oversight to a team of District Sales Managers and/or Sales Consultants, driving significant sales growth, profitability, and market share within a larger geographic area or key market segment. This role focuses on developing talent, implementing strategic initiatives, and fostering strong customer relationships

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve significant revenue and profit growth.
  • Oversee district sales performance, analyzing trends and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Identify and develop key customer relationships and strategic partnerships.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute regional and national sales strategies.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement in sales processes and performance.
  • Manage sales budgets and resources effectively.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop high-performing sales talent.

Skills

  • Strategic thinking and planning abilities.
  • Deep understanding of the foodservice industry and sales landscape.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM and other sales management tools.  

Education

Bachelor's degree in related discipline or an additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree

Experience

9+ years of experience, of which at least 5 leading a team
