ABOUT THE ROLE
The Inbound Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations within the inbound department. This includes receiving of goods, managing inventory, and maintaining equipment and supervising inbound warehouse staff.
Schedule :
Monday - Friday - 07:00 a.m. 03:30 p.m.
Weekends as required
Duties:
- Assist in overseeing day-to-day operations and productivity of the day/night inbound team.
- Provide new hire and/or refresher training on power equipment and inbound procedures.
- Report, escalate and provide recommendations on operational deficiencies.
- Operate power equipment to select, pick and organize orders.
- Delegate daily priorities to ensure effective management of inbound activities.
- Inspect, record, and escalate quality issues of inbound product.
- Assist in driving Company policies, SOPs and procedures.
- Assist in department scheduling and timecard management when required.
- Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
- Understands that their role is critical in creating a safe organization with minimal environmental impact and the value that brings to the organization.
- Is willing to drive Environmental, Health and Safety performance by acting as an example and holding their team accountable to complying with EHS programs, policies, and requirements.

Creative Thinking
- Continuously seeks opportunities to improve inbound warehouse operations in collaboration with the Warehouse Manager.
- This role is responsible for driving and implementing Company programs, policies and procedures.
Problem Solving :
- Analytical thinking and problem solving required.
- This individual is the main point of contact for inbound warehouse activities.
Process Management:
- This role is required to plan and organize operational priorities, team schedules and day-to-day activities within their department
- This role will be responsible for the continuous training, development and coaching of their designated team.
Physical Requirements :
- Operate power equipment such as forklift, scissor lift or pallet jack to palletize and/or organize products.
- Lifting of up to 50 lbs or more may be required.
- May be required to work in coolers from time-to-time to move, organize, or collect products.
Experience :
- Minimum 5 years experience working in distribution, warehouse, or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years experience operating power equipment required.
- Minimum 8 years previous experience in a team lead or supervisory role required.
Education :
- Diploma required.
Knowledge & Skill :
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
