À PROPOS DU RÔLE
Role Responsibilities:
- Ensure customer credits are coded correctly.
- Verify and ensure that all returned product is scanned and returned to stock daily.
- Communicate with various departments (Transportation, Warehouse, Credit, Inventory/QA) to ensure proper procedures and policies are being adhered to.
- Ensure all route bags are sorted daily and all the driver’s paperwork is verified for accuracy and completeness.
- Inspect all items upon return to insure the items are compliant following our corporate driven food safety guidelines and credit returns policies.
- Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
- Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
- Responsible for compliance with all Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) comprising Sysco’s Food Safety Program, specific for the assigned role.
- Assist Food Safety Program Manager in ensuring compliance to Sysco’s Food Safety Program that leads to compliance with third party certification and customer requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Nature and Scope
Financial Impact: Outline any responsibility for financial decisions, developing and controlling a profit plan, as well as direct control of money/funds.
- No responsibility for financial decisions, budgets and planning.
Creative Thinking: Describe the level of innovation and/or creativity skills required, ability to modify/improve processes and procedures or to develop new ideas, methodologies, techniques, policies and practices.
• Limited creativity required. May make suggestions for changes to processes to Manager.
Problem Solving: Describe the level of analytical thinking, resourcefulness and/or problem solving while considering the complexity of the problem and the nature of the solution.
• Limited problem solving required. May need to resolve incorrectly processed returns.
Process Management: The scope of responsibility and planning, organizing and/or project management necessary for the position.
• None required. Leadership: responsibilities to manage, supervise, guide, lead or mentor other associates, the number of direct reports and their level is relevant (are the direct reports managers).
• No direct reports. Customer Service: level of responsibility for customer service looking at the nature of service/interaction provided to the “customer” (e.g. internal, external, vendor…), the diversity and complexity communication.
• High level of customer service: As part of the customer returns process, major impact on the clean and timely processing of customer credits.
Autonomy: Level of autonomy when it comes to performing work duties and achieving work objectives, the degree, nature and impact of decision-making.
• Work is largely dictated by the key job descriptions and the requirements of the Inventory Control Manager.
Contacts: Describe who would be considered internal and/or external contacts/customers.
• Internal customers include the Inventory Control Manager; any concerns from customers or other departments should be directed through them.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions: Describe the intensity, frequency, and duration of the physical effort required. Exposure to undesirable working conditions including noise, temperature, lighting, equipment or amount of travel (in percentage).
• Needs to be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Frequent lifting is required (up to 50lbs)
• May be required to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts • Exposure to varying temperatures due to handling products in different storage environments as well as working near opening and closing of doors.
Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:
Experience: Minimum level as well as preferred level of experience. Consider the level exposure to relevant work gained through practical and on-the-job training.
• 1-year experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
Education: Minimum level as well as preferred level of education, certification or designation. Consider the knowledge of business, industry, management principles and technical disciplines gained through formal training.
• High school diploma required
• College Diploma an asset
Knowledge & Skill: List any other qualifications, including technical requirements of the role.
• Material handling equipment experience is an asset
• Basic proficiency with MS Excel, Word and Outlook
